Hi, I am a Product Design student at UniSA and stepmum of two now teens! I am passionate about teaching, and empowering young people with critical thinking skills and passing on design thinking methods. I am available for tutoring for children aged 4-17 in the topics of Design, Art, History, English and Music. I am a trained saxophonist and can read music so can help to guide alongside existing music lessons and encourage regular practice (I reached grade 8 in my AMEB exams). I believe play is important and the need to balance learning with play and having fun. Playing games together, encouraging time spent interacting with nature and drawing/painting for fun are some of my favourite activities.
I worked as an au pair for a year in New Zealand in my early twenties which I loved, before studying midwifery. As life has taken me down different paths I now occasionally childmind for family and friends while raising teens. I have also worked as a doula.
I am currently studying Product Design at Uni. This is an extremely well rounded degree, giving me skills in CAD, graphic design, visual art and woodworking. I am a trained saxophonist and excelled at literature in high school.
