Hello! My name is Teresa, I am from Ireland, I moved here in July! I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and Primary Education, and I am a qualified Irish sign language teacher. In addition to my teaching background, I am also a piano teacher. Currently, I work as a primary school teacher/leader of Special education here in Perth. Having recently moved to this beautiful city, I enjoy exploring the outdoors in my free time. I am a triplet and understand the importance of family! Special Needs Experience
I have a masters in special education. I have worked in special schools and in autistics classrooms. I lectured in special education in Irish. I have lots of experience with non-verbal children and challenge and behaviour.
Childcare Experience
I have worked with children the past 10 years. I originally started working with children when I was 18 teaching piano. I have been teaching piano since then. I have worked in special schools and special classes with children for 5 years. I have also worked in a mainstream primary school. I love teaching children, watching them grow and learn but mainly watching them have fun. I am currently a primary school teacher/ leader of Special Education here in Perth!
Tutoring Experience
I have been tutoring for five years. I worked a lot with deaf children/ hard of hearing children. This involved teaching them sign language and reading. I have been teaching piano the past 10 years.
