Hi parents! I’m a qualified primary school teacher from Ireland with 8+ years experience babysitting and working with 3 month old babies to 12 year olds. I adore children and love organising creative activities based on children's interests, as well as helping with homework, all while ensuring that each child is well taken care of. I am patient, empathetic, kind, fun & I love the outdoors. I have my WWCC, CPR & First aid. I can’t wait to hear from you!
As part of my primary school teacher training in university I completed various school placements in special educational settings including Autism units, small group settings working with children with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD.
I have been looking after various children for many families over the last 8 years. As a primary school teacher I have extensive experience with children aged 4-12. I have spent many years while studying to become a teacher looking after very young babies and toddlers, and am therefore very comfortable with this age as well as older children. Something I find rewarding about looking after children is building a relationship with both the child and their parents, as well as watching the child have fun and thrive in an engaging, supportive environment.
I have been tutoring for 2 years along side working as a primary school teacher full time in Ireland. My most recent tutoring experience was with a 7 year old and an 8 year old weekly. I helped support the children with their completing their homework and specifically with phonics, grammar and sentence structure (the areas which they were both struggling with). I supported the children through the completion of their homework, I also designed interactive learning activities for these children focusing on the specific topics in which they required support. These activities were curriculum based, engaging and fun for the children.
