I am a kind, bubbly and energetic nanny looking for a local family to give a helping hand. I am an Irish primary school teacher with 5 years teaching experience. Last year I worked closely with a family of two young children for a number of months. My responsibilities included cooking and meal prep, putting kids to bed, both indoor and outdoor learning activities, pickup and drop off from daycare and light housekeeping. I have a lot of experience working with children of all ages including children with additional needs. I’m really great with kids, I am caring, hardworking and have a love of the outdoors which makes for an enthusiastic nanny. I have my working with children check and relevant first aid training etc due to my education degree and certification to teach here. Special Needs Experience
Working with a family last year I cared for the emotional, educational and physical needs of an early years school child. I have a lot of experience with children with ASD as I have worked in a special education teaching role so am well equipped to deal with any additional needs at hand.
Childcare Experience
As mentioned previously I have approximately 7 years of childcare experience. Before and during my education degree I minded children in Ireland with multiple children in the family. I am comfortable with working with families with up to 3 children. I have worked with two families in a nanny position in Australia. One short term in Queensland and one full position here in Sydney.
Tutoring Experience
Whilst at home I was tutoring mostly one on one for English and Maths for highschool level students but primary as well. I have casual teaching experience in both primary and highschool schools locally and am up to date with relevant curriculum and subject matter. Due to my educational background and working in a special needs educational role I have worked closely with students in reaching academic roles and targets relating to children and their specific needs.
