Hello everyone : ) My name is Claire and I am from Dublin, Ireland. I moved to Melbourne in August 2022, I am really loving here it so far! I am a primary school teacher with 8+ years child minding experience. I have been lucky enough to mind some gorgeous babies from 3 months old and their siblings right up to 9 years old. I was able to stay connected with them over the years and help out during school holidays which has been so lovely to see them grow up. I am really looking forward to meeting some more families here in Melbourne over the next while. I am available full time until the school holidays end and after that weekends and late afternoons.
Hello there, I am a primary school teacher with a previous Montessori background which links well with special education. During my degree I chose special Ed and inclusion as my speciality modules and from there I gained experience through placements in several schools. Since I qualified have been lucky enough to support children with various complex needs throughout my time in schools in Ireland and Australia. I have also been involved with home support programmes during school holidays alongside children between 4-12 years. I currently teach in an autistic school here in Melbourne and have 5 years experience in mainstream.
While I was in college I nannied for two families with children from 3 months old to 6 years. From there I worked part time in a Montessori school with connected me with more families which I helped out in a casual basis. I was lucky enough to stay with these families throughout the years while I wasn’t teaching. Now my free time is afterschool and during school holidays. On occasion I would support families on the weekend or for multiple days if the parents were away. I love being around children and being outside to explore and find fun things to do together.
I have been a primary school teacher for 5 years with experience in mainstream and special education settings. I have experience with one to one teaching to support children with aspects of the curriculum they are finding challenging along with social aspects that are explored while teaching. During school closures through covid I supported children through Zoom to maintain the connections from school and to support them with their ongoing academic learning.
