Hi mums and dads - I am a fully qualified primary school teacher from Ireland. I have 2 years experience in teaching and previous to that I worked in an Early Childhood Education Centre for 1 year. I have experience working with babies and children from 3 months to 12 years. I have also worked in different summer camps with a variety of ages. During my first year teaching I was a Special Education Teacher. I have experience in working with children with Autism and children with emotional regulation difficulties.
I have worked with children that have autism, sensory difficulties, emotional regulation difficulties, social anxiety, and behavioural difficulties.
I have an extensive background in childcare stemming from my own family unit right out to my professional career. I have four nephews ages 12, 7, 6 and 4 and three nieces ages 6, 3 and 1.5 years old. As a close knit family, I spend a lot of time with my nephews and nieces. I have worked as a childminder for three different families with the children aging between 6 months to 8 years. I have worked in an Early Childhood Education Centre as a Childcare Practitioner caring for the needs of children between 6 months to 6 years. I then went on to study my masters in Primary School Teaching in which I work as both a Special Education Teacher and Class Teacher with children from 4 years to 12 years. I find childcare extremely rewarding as I get to support children in their overall learning and development. I support children in their social, emotional and cognitive development by providing a holistic and safe learning environment. I am passionate, creative and hardworking. I believe that children are the most precious gift of all and I feel extremely lucky to work in this profession.
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with two years experience. During covid-19 lockdowns I would tutor children aged between 6-10 years old. I am qualified in many curricular areas such as Maths, English, Geography, Science, Visual Arts and Religion (Christianity).
