Hi everyone, I am an Irish, fully qualified and probated primary school teacher who has recently moved to Sydney on a Working Holiday Visa. I am a personable individual who loves to get out and about. I enjoy going for walks and chilling in the park or at the beach. I grew up on a farm and I am used to being around animals. I especially love cats! I have completed a working with children check here and police background check (in Ireland, for Australia). I have just recently achieved accreditation to work as a teacher here in NSW. Since arriving in Australia, I have completed an in-person first aid course (including CPR); a child protection course and many other online courses relation to schools/children. I have 4 years experience as a qualified teacher and I have also completed many school placements, working with children from the age of 4 to 13. I have worked as a mentor in an English-language school for children in the Basque region of Spain, where I got to live with a native family for a number of weeks. Furthermore, I have acted as a tutor for an 8 year old girl whereby I helped her with her reading and general literacy. All of these roles have allowed me to work closely with children and their families. I have a full, clean, Irish drivers licence but I do not have access to a car here in Sydney and will be walking/ using public transport to get myself places. Special Needs Experience
I have worked in a Special Education role, whereby I taught children with learning disabilities/ additional needs. Teacher training in Ireland includes Special Needs training.
