Hey parents! I’m an Irish primary school teacher with five years of experience working with children of all ages. I’m also an aunt to my four nephews and niece, which has given me plenty of hands-on experience in caring for children. I’m very comfortable with nappy changing, bedtime stories, bathing and most importantly playing games. I am more than happy to help with dinner and tidying up too. Special Needs Experience
I have extensive experience working with children with a range of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Down syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), dyslexia, dyspraxia, and learning disabilities. My background as a primary school teacher has given me the skills to adapt to each child's individual needs, whether it involves providing structure, managing behavior, or offering support with learning and daily tasks. I am experienced in creating a calm, engaging environment that fosters both independence and confidence. Whether it’s helping with communication, sensory sensitivities, or motor skills, I approach every child with patience, understanding, and a focus on their unique strengths.
Childcare Experience
I have extensive childcare experience, having cared for my four nephews and niece from babies to young children. I am comfortable looking after children of all ages, from infants to young teens, and have also gained five years of teaching experience working with children aged 4 to 12. My priority is always ensuring children are happy and providing a safe, nurturing environment. I find great reward in fostering positive relationships with children and supporting their well-being and development.
Tutoring Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a Bachelor of Education degree and five years of teaching experience. I have tutored children privately in English and maths after school and have worked in various teaching roles, including as a mainstream class teacher, special class teacher, and special education teacher. I particularly enjoy teaching maths, PE, art, STEM, and introducing children to coding and typing through engaging online games. Additionally, I have led a STEM club after school, fostering children's interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
