Hello everyone, I am a Primary School Teacher from the UK who has recently moved to Sydney. I love working with children - it is fun and incredibly rewarding! I am looking for casual babysitting jobs on evenings and weekends. If you would like to go out and have a break and relax one weekend or evening and need a babysitter to look after your children, I am the perfect person for you. I also would consider long term roles where I could work after 5pm on an evening. I am more than happy to cook, clean and help your children with their homework if needed or do abit of tutoring! Please get in touch, I am happy to chat and come meet for an interview if needed :)

Special Needs Experience

I worked in a school where nearly half of my class had special needs. Some of these were social and emotional needs and some were learning and cognitive needs. I have worked with children with autism and ADHD so I know some good strategies to support these children and help them to thrive!

Childcare Experience

I have been a teacher now for 5 years. I have worked with all age groups from 3-11. I would be most comfortable working with children around this age group. Working with children is an incredibly rewarding job and I love going to work knowing that I am making a positive difference to a child’s life.

Tutoring Experience

I studied a 4 year degree in Japanese language and Business Studies. From there, I did a post graduate certificate of education in Primary Education, specialising in mathematics. I trained to teach in a lovely year 2 class in my placement school. When qualified, I worked as a tutor for years 3, 4 and 5, who needed support with maths and reading. I then worked in a year 6 class for 6 months before moving to a year 1 class, where I taught them for 2 years. I also worked very closely with the nursery and reception classes to ensure a continuous provision was provided for year 1. As a teacher, I planned and prepared various interventions for children who needed extra support. These interventions were specifically tailored to their needs and were a very important aspect of my teaching.
