Hi there families đ I am a friendly and hardworking postgraduate student from the UK, and I am currently in Australia studying my Masters of Teaching (primary and secondary). I have over five yearsâ experience working as a private tutor, supporting students from age 4 -25 with English and Maths, and prior to that, I worked for 2 and a half years as an au pair / child minder (in Australia and the UK). I have always enjoyed working with children, volunteering for literacy groups when I was still in school, but it was volunteering at a school in Indonesia that made me realise just how much I loved it đ and that was the moment I decided to become a teacher. I am looking for part-time work as a nanny/ baby sitter/ tutor to help support myself while Iâm studying here. My schedule is very flexible at the moment, as the semester has just ended so I have no more university commitments until late February (but even during term time, classes are only 2-3 days per week), so I have a lot of availability. I already have some tutoring lessons (mostly on Sunday and Monday evenings), but Iâm available the rest of the week/ weekends and I can do during the day Sunday/ Monday if that helps đ I am Covid-vaccinated and have a WWCC. I can also provide referencesđ and I have experience supporting/ caring for children with additional needs (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Downâs Syndrome).
I have done several professional development courses to better support students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety and complex trauma. I have also worked with a number of children Who have special needs, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, Downâs syndrome and PDA.
I have been working with children for over 7 years, both as a Tutor and and Au Pair. Most of my experience has been with children age between four and 16.
I have been tutoring for over five years, Supporting students aged between four and 25. I worked with students from the UK, Australia, China and Singapore and supported them to successfully complete the SATs (the British equivalent of NAPLAN), private school entrance exams, university entrance exams and GCSEs.
