Childcare Experience
I have over 7 years of experience as a nanny/caregiver and house manager for children of various ages, from toddlers to teenagers. Tutoring Experience
I have three years of experience tutoring primary school children, focusing on reading and spelling. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and tailored to each child's unique needs. One of my memorable experiences was with a first grader who struggled with spelling and reading fluency. To help him, I implemented a combination of phonics games and storytelling. We used colorful flashcards for spelling practice, turning it into a fun competition where he could earn stickers for each word he mastered. During our sessions, I would read together with him, encouraging him to sound out words and use context clues. I also introduced short, engaging books that matched his interests, which helped improve his confidence and motivation. Over a few months, his spelling improved significantly, and he became more enthusiastic about reading. I regularly assessed his progress through informal quizzes and reading aloud, allowing me to adjust our sessions as needed. His parents were thrilled with his improvements and appreciated the boost in his confidence and love for learning.
