Hi everyone! I am an Irish girl that has moved over to Australia earlier this year. I have a level 8 bachelors degree in Children’s Studies. I am working as a Teaching Assistant in different schools around Melbourne. This means I am available to work weekends and possibly some week day evenings depending on my shifts/ your location! I have always loved working with children and I have years of experience. I have looked after neighbours children and family friends since the age of 16. I then went on to get my degree and after that I worked in a crèche with children aged 6months-4 years old. I have also subbed in primary and secondary schools so I am comfortable working with children of all ages. I also have experience in working with children with special needs. I have been recently been helping a family of 3 children for the past 3 months in SA but unfortunately had to part ways as I had completed my regional work. I have my WWC and Police check. Childcare Experience
I have many years of experience working with children since the age of 16. I always helped neighbours and family friends care for their children while I lived at home as my 2nd job. I studied for 4 years at the University of Ireland, Galway. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Children’s studies. This course included placement where I worked for several months with primary school aged children. Before moving to Oz, I worked in a crèche with children from 6 months to 4 years old and with the after school programme for children from 4-12 years old. I am currently working with an education company in Melbourne that place me in different primary and secondary schools around Melbourne. I am comfortable win working with children of all ages and I also have experience with with working with children with special needs from working in SEN schools. The last 3 months I have been working for a family with 3 children. I helped them every evening after my day job for a few hours a day and also the majority of the weekends, including weekends the mother is away on trips.
Tutoring Experience
I am able to tutor any primary level subjects as I have experience in that with helping the children I have cared for with home work and with doing many of the topics during my university course. I also majored in Geography for my degree so I could tutor Geography for secondary school students.
