Hello everyone! I've spent the last two months as a teaching assistant for Year 9 and Year 11 students, specializing in one-on-one tutoring for biology and mathematics. I also tutor all subjects for fourth graders. At home, I have a younger brother preparing for his college entrance exams and an 80-year-old grandfather. I often take care of my 6-year-old cousin, so I'm experienced in looking after children of different ages. Looking forward to connecting with you all!
I've been looking after children for several years, starting with my younger brother and then expanding to help with my younger cousins. I'm most comfortable with children aged 6 to 12, as I have a lot of experience tutoring and interacting with kids in this age group. What I find most rewarding about childcare is watching them grow and develop new skills, especially when they overcome challenges with a bit of guidance. It's incredibly fulfilling to be a part of their learning journey and to see them gain confidence in themselves.
I have two years of formal teaching assistant experience, mainly focusing on one-on-one tutoring in biology, mathematics, and Chinese for Year 9 and Year 11 students. Before this, I also had experience tutoring family members and friends, especially in science and Chinese. I'm passionate about biology, mathematics, and Chinese because these subjects help students understand the world more deeply and develop their thinking and communication skills. Although my formal teaching experience is only two years, seeing students make significant progress in a short time has been very fulfilling. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and to help students build confidence.
