Hi there :) I am currently working as an OSHC educator in a primary school, with lots of babysitting experience on my back. I am studying towards a Bachelor of Education, I have my First Aid and CPR qualifications alongside a blue card/WWCC. I have 6 younger siblings, so I’ve been preparing for a future in childcare since I can remember. At OSHC, I help out the kiddos with their homework, supervise their playtime, feed them breakfast/afternoon tea and do my very best to keep each and every one of them happy and safe. OSHC has provided me with extensive training and experience in various aspects of childcare, including health and safety, risk minimisation, etc. I also regularly work with children with additional needs and medical needs. Due to an upcoming prac with my university, I’m unable to make money during the week between 28th April and 19th May. Subsequently, I am looking for any and all work on weekends during this time. I am happy to help out with one-off babysitting/tutoring gigs, but I’m also very happy to become a regular sitter/tutor for your kiddos while I complete this degree. I’m flexible and I have a car, as well.
I work with children with additional needs on a daily basis.
I work with kiddos between 4 and 12 every single day, and have been doing so for about a year now. I am comfortable caring for children between 2 and 14. I find building relationships and trust with kids to be the most rewarding part of the job. The feeling of knowing that I’ve provided them with enough of a safety net for them to come to me comfortably and willingly with problems they may have, is unmatched. I feel like I’ve successfully done my part when a kid is comfortable enough to open up to me.
I help my kids at OSHC with their homework quite often, and I am also studying education. I have completed a prac, and I am comfortable helping out kids with anything they’re not quite understanding. My majors are drama and English, however, I have past experience in French, art and music, as well as knowledge on maths and history.
