Childcare Experience
I have worked with kids in a variety of professional settings across twenty years - as a personal trainer, community drama teacher, rock climbing instructor and teacher aide. I have Certificate IV qualifications in education support and a first class honours degree in Drama. I can confidently support the emotional and learning needs of primary aged kids. I am also adept connecting with teens. I relate and work confidently with specialist needs (children & teens) including ASD (all levels) and can target different learning styles.
Tutoring Experience
Four years experience in an education setting supporting individuals and small groups with Reading and Literacy (employing the new Australian Government standard ‘phonics’). Maths competency is up to grade 4 only. I can also teach audio/music production skills (recording/creating/mixing) in the professional music making software Logic Pro. Thus supporting musical or podcasting interests/endeavours.
