Hi everyone šš¼ Iām currently in my third year of a Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery and am hoping to lend a helping hand to those around the Brisbane area. Iāve worked with preschool to primary aged children in the past and have been loving supporting parents, newborns and infants across my degree so far. I absolutely love spending my time outdoors, cooking up feasts and treats for friends and family, or simply having some down time with a good song, movie or book. With my past work and studies, I have come to love working and growing alongside children of all ages and hope that I can get lucky enough to continue doing this for the remaining year I have in Brisbane. Iāve grown up around pets so will be more than happy to spend some quality time and cuddles with those too!! Childcare Experience
With my past work and current studies, I have worked closely with newborns and preschool to early primary school aged children. I have also worked in an after-school care and tutoring program for later primary-aged kids. I absolutely love all bits of working with children - from the confidence, creativity and imagination that young children have to the new quirks of a newbornās and infantās personality that emerge each day they grow. I am confident and happy to work for a range of requirements, whether thatās basic feeding and hygiene, guiding through homework, or keeping entertained with hobbies and games. With this, I have expanding skills in first aid thanks to my work history and studies and am not afraid to step in where needed.
Tutoring Experience
I worked as a Support Staff in classrooms from Transition/Prep to Grade 2 for a year, providing one-on-one and group support across all subjects to young children. This included with children who struggled to learn in a standard classroom environment. Additionally, I have experience as a Tutor in an after-school program with Grade 3 to Grade 6 children. Alongside the team, I coordinated and participated in extracurricular activities that aimed to build on and improve both classroom and life skills.
