Hello Australian families, my name is Niamh, an Irish teacher eager to extend a helping hand to your family! I am here to offer a friendly and reliable service and lend a hand whether it may be babysitting during the day, nannying both before and after school, tutoring or running errands around the house. I am a 26 year old fully-qualified primary school teacher currently working in Sydney. Growing up I have had plenty of experience looking after children in their homes and being involved in teaching various activity camps over the Summer months. In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy baking, arts and crafts, swimming, walking and staying active. These are also activities I have loved doing with children in my class and children I have looked after. I have worked as a class teacher within classes that have had special educational needs, completed special educational needs module in college.
Childcare Experience
I have been babysitting children during weekend evenings since 17 years of age and also used to help my Aunt who is a childminder during the Summer months in my free time as well as working a part time job when I was younger. My primary experience of working with children has come from working as a primary school teacher in the years since I have finished College.
Tutoring Experience
This will be my fourth year as a qualified teacher, and I have experience teaching children with a wide range of abilities. I am very passionate about creating an active and engaging environment when teaching children different subjects, and adjusting my teaching to suit their needs and abilities in order to allow their to teach their full potential.
