Hi Mums and Dad, I am a qualified primary school teacher from Ireland and I am living in Coogee. I love to stay active and be outdoors and also enjoy baking and arts and crafts. I have 6 years nanny/childminding experience with 1 family at home. This job involved caring for 4 children aged 10, 8, 5 and 2. I developed a strong relationship with both the parents and children. I spent time playing with the children, preparing meals, nap and bed time routines, light household jobs and dropping and collecting the children from different extra curricular activities. I love working with children and creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment for them that fosters their growth and development. I have completed my first aid and WWCC. Special Needs Experience
I Dont have specific special needs training but I have 6 years experience minding a little girl with Down syndrome. Also bring a primary school teacher I have experience with autism and epilepsy within the classroom.
Childcare Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher and worked with children aged 6-8 previously. This job requires someone who is organised and prepared, has good time management, can work as a team and can remain calm and deal with challenging situations. I also has 6 years childminding experience with 1 family. I have also experience casual babysitting jobs with other families. The family now has 4 children aged 10, 8, 5 and 2. This job included work during the evening, weekend, school holiday and the 3 months of summer holidays. I got to know this family on a very personal level and developed life long relationships with both the parents and children. It was important to me that the children felt comfortable in my company and that the parents were happy with me. I am a very happy, enthusiastic and calm person who loves to be outdoors, art and baking. With the children we played, visited playgrounds and parks. I also prepared meals, fed the family dog, collected and dropped the children to activities, completed light household jobs, got the children ready for nap time and bedtime and occasionally stayed the night at their house to mind the children when the parents were away. I really enjoy working with children and it is important to me that I creative and provide a positive, fun and safe environment for the children to learn and grow. One of my favourite things about working with children is their imagination and seeing it flourish. I aim to create an interactive and supportive environment where they can thrive and I can support their holistic development.
Tutoring Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher and have previous experience tutoring on a 1 to 1 basis to help students improve their academic performance. I have worked with a number of different students who needed help in different areas, some of who had additional educational needs. It was important for me that I created an individualised plan based on each students needs and goals and assess their learning to be able to provide feedback to help them understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
