Hello, my name is Tara Fitzgerald and I’ve recently moved to Australia from Ireland. I am very adaptable, friendly, and organised. I’m a fully qualified Primary School Teacher with 4 full years teaching experience. I have taught in special education and as a mainstream class teacher to children in their first year of school (Kindy). I have a valid WWCC, police clearance, CV and references available. I have experience babysitting children from 9months to 13years of age. I also worked as an Au Pair for a French Family, providing care (child-minding, feeding, bathing) for both a 4 year old and 16month old while traveling around France with that family. I’ve provided private 1:1 tutoring to a 12 year old boy in Dublin, teaching English, Irish & Maths in his final years of primary school. I have also spent two summers providing summer provision (child-minding, teaching, excursions) to children with special educational needs, mainly working with children with ASD and Down Syndrome.
As a qualified primary school teacher, we did training in university to work with children with special needs. I have worked as a special education teacher and provided summer provision to children with additional needs.
I worked as an Au Pair in France caring for two children in summer 2018. I have completed numerous school placements working with children between 2016 to 2020. I qualified as a primary school teacher in September 2020. I am on career break from my permanent job where I worked for 4 years. I worked for 2 years as a special education teacher and 2 years as a Kindy Teacher, teaching children in their first year of schooling. I have experience providing summer provision, providing education and care to children with special educational needs.
I provided private tutoring to a boy in the senior end of primary school. We mainly focused on building literacy skills and improving his knowledge of the Irish language. At times, we also covered mental maths skills.
