Hi Mums and Dads, My name is Melissa and I’m an Irish Primary School Teacher who has just moved to Sydney! 🇮🇪 ✨Having accumulated three years of full-time teaching experience, as well as substitute teaching, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of childcare and how to support children to ensure they reach their full potential. 💛 ✨My previous roles, working in a Catholic Primary School and a British Curriculum Private School, have equipped me with the necessary skills to engage and inspire children, while also fostering a positive learning environment. ☺️ ✨While teaching in the Dubai for two years, I had the opportunity to work in a school where 80% of the students were learning English as an additional language. I also spent a summer teaching English in Brazil 🇦🇪🇧🇷. As a result, I gained extensive experience with EAL strategies.🌎 ✨Since relocating to Australia, I have been working as a Sport Teacher and teaching on a casual basis. 👩🏻‍🏫 ✨ I currently take care of a 2 year old Thursday and Friday mornings. And have experience taking care of children from ages 1.5- 12. 👶👧🧒 I also tutor with a tutoring company in the Eastern Suburbs. 📚 My hobbies include reading, baking and any kind of physical exercise!
