Hi all, I am new to Sydney. I grew up in Ireland and I'm the youngest of a big family so I have always been surrounded by younger nieces and nephews from a young age. This along with coaching and private nannying (both and home and abroad) inspired me to become a primary school teacher which I have been doing for a number of years. I love meeting new children and understand each child is different therefore I may need to alter my approach each time. I am excited to get to know new families in the area.
I am a qualified primary school teacher so I have more experience working with children with special or additional needs. I do not have any additional certificates.
I have grown up with children my whole life. I come from a big family so I have always looked after my nieces and nephew from a young age. I became a King Fu coach and started teaching children from 4-17 which lead me to go into nannying for some of the clients. I then spend a season as a private nanny in the French Alps with a variety of families as they enjoyed their time on the slopes. During their time I looked after children ages between 9 months old and 13 years old. I am now a fully qualified primary school teacher and graduated with this qualification in the UK in 2020. I have worked as a full time classroom teacher at primary level since August 2020 to July 2023 and hope to continue this in Sydney in the future.
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a Postgraduate in primary education (graduated in 2020). I previously completed a 3 year Bachelor's degree in History and Sociology (graduated in 2017). Most recently I have worked as a classroom teacher in Year 3 in a Kent based school. I worked with children of all education needs in a mainstream school setting. I have also worked with a variety of children with social and emotional struggles who have difficulties controlling their behaviour. Outside of the classroom I have tutored children from ages 6-12. The subjects I was tutoring it was tailored to their struggles in the curriculum which was discussed with partners/guardians prior to beginning to ensure working with me would ensure they received the correct tutoring for their needs.
