Hello there! I’m Caoimhe, an Irish primary school teacher with a huge family—my dad is one of 16 siblings, so I’ve been around kids my entire life, especially my younger cousins. I know what it takes to care for little ones with kindness, patience, and understanding. I’m fully qualified, having earned my teaching degree from Dublin City University, and I’ve been teaching for four years, including an incredible year in Abu Dhabi. Beyond teaching, I love traveling and have had the privilege of spending two summers in California working at a UC Berkeley-led social skills camp for children with ASD. I’m also a big fan of staying active—running is a passion of mine, and I play Gaelic Football, a sport close to any Irish heart! I specialize in arts, crafts, and drama, so whether you’re looking for engaging activities, help with homework, or just someone to care for your little ones, I’d love to support you. Feel free to reach out—I’m here to help!
My Bachelor of Education degree covered a range of specual needs training. I worked as a social skills instructor at a UC Berkeley sports camp for children with ASD, providing behavior support and social skills guidance as they integrated into camp activities. I collaborated closely with both parents and children and received specialized ASD social inclusion training from UC Berkeley’s lead educational psychologist. I worked as a special education teacher, providing one-on-one instruction to students based on guidance from a team of specialists, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, and Play Therapists who collaborated within our school. With their expertise, I was able to tailor my support to meet each child’s unique needs. Alongside my role as a 1:1 teacher, I also worked closely with classroom teachers to ensure that students received consistent support across all learning environments.
I’ve been caring for children for over 4 years as a qualified primary school teacher, and as part of a large family, I’ve been looking after little ones for as long as I can remember. I’m comfortable with children of all ages and truly love creating a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. What I find most rewarding about childcare is the joy of seeing children grow in confidence and happiness, knowing I can play a small part in their journey. I bring patience, empathy, and a genuine love for helping children flourish—whether it’s through educational support, creative play, or simply being there as a kind, caring presence.
I’ve been tutoring and teaching for over 4 years as a fully qualified primary school teacher. My Bachelor of Education from Dublin City University has equipped me with comprehensive training across all primary subjects, including English, Irish, Maths, Science, Geography, History, Well Being, Art, Drama, Music, and Religious Education. I’m especially passionate about making learning engaging, whether through creative arts, literacy, or academic support. With formal teaching experience in Ireland and Abu Dhabi, I adapt my approach to meet each child’s unique needs, helping them build confidence and a love for learning. My goal is to support their academic growth while fostering a positive, joyful learning experience.
