Hello everyone! I am a primary school teacher who has 6 years of experience working with children and teenagers from varied backgrounds and with a wide range of learning abilities - there is nothing I haven’t seen! I am kind, caring and incredibly patient. Alongside this I am extremely organised and diligent in my work. I would love to help out around your home in any capacity whether that is care-needs based or educational-needs based 🤍
During University I took an elective centred around all types of Special Needs learning all the way from ASD, ADHD, ADD, Downs Syndrome to OCD and ODD. In the school I worked for 4 years I was met with a lot of children who presented with these needs. I have studied these needs and also worked with gorgeously unique children who have these needs. No two children are the same but I have seen a lot and have extensive experience in these areas.
I have been working with children for 6 years now. Most of my experience has been with ages 3-7 (3 years) and I also have experience of working with 7+ and teens for a further 3 years. I have younger siblings and cousins and also many friends with young children whom I have taken up causal work with in my past due my love for caring for children. I adore getting to know families and learning about how they run their households and slotting myself in appropriately and professionally. Taking care of children properly and allowing them to flourish in their childhood is one of the most rewarding things we can do, it is so important for informing their future and ensuring they have a good start in life - the beginning is the most important part.
I have been tutoring before and after school now for 5 years! I have mostly been tutoring in English (reading and writing), Mathematics and Science. I also specialised in emotional well being in Uni so I have also take tutoring classes with children to help them regulate and understand their emotions, especially when it comes to life circumstances they may be going through eg: first experience of loss, new sibling arrival, parental separation, parental incarceration, homelessness and establishing bonds with new adults such as guardians.
