Hi! I’m Joanne O’Sullivan, and I’d love to help out with babysitting and household chores. I have lots of experience working with kids, from being an educator at Branches Early Learning Centre to working as a substitute teacher back in Ireland. I have a Working with Children Check, Police Clearance, and First Aid/CPR training, so your little ones will always be in safe hands. I’m patient, responsible, and love keeping kids entertained while making sure they feel happy and secure. I’m also happy to help around the house to make life a little easier for you. Let me know if you’d like to chat—I’d love to help out!
I worked with children with addiontal needs in my previous day are and school back in Ireland. I also am beginning a role as a support working for children with additional needs with Sn Services.
I have extensive experience working with children of all ages, beginning my journey as a babysitter and nanny at 16 and continuing throughout my college years. During this time, I cared for children ranging from 1 to 12 years old, providing a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I loved engaging kids in creative play, helping with homework, and supporting their learning and development. My passion for education led me to work as a substitute teacher and educator, where I gained valuable experience managing groups of children, creating lesson plans, and working closely with students who had additional learning needs. I take pride in being patient, understanding, and adaptable, ensuring every child feels supported and encouraged
Alongside babysitting, I’ve always loved helping children with their learning. I’ve tutored both the kids I babysat and family and friends’ children, supporting them in a range of subjects. For primary school students, I focused on improving their comprehension skills in English and maths, breaking down concepts into simple, engaging ways to help them grasp the basics with confidence. For high school students, I used my own strong academic background to help them prepare for exams, offering study tips, practice questions, and structured revision techniques. I especially enjoyed working with children who needed extra support, finding creative ways to make learning fun and accessible for them.
