With extensive experience caring for infants and young children—including three infants till the transition to child care over the past 4 years—I create a warm and nurturing environment where children can thrive. I’m trained in mindfulness and self-compassion, and I bring these principles into my work, helping children build resilience, emotional awareness, and kindness towards themselves and others. I have a special talent for bringing books to life and engaging children through creative play, which encourages imagination and learning. As a non-smoker and non-drinker with strong emotional regulation, I have a modern understanding of child-rearing practices, including experience supporting neurodivergent children. She has been absolutely wonderful since the very first day. Her calm and gentle nature, coupled with her excellent organisational skills have simplified my life with a young baby and enabled me to keep working, comfortable in the knowledge that Bobby is safe and loved and well cared for. Liv is a true professional and has a world of experience with caring for babies and young children as well as keeping my home highly organised. She puts a lot of thought and forward planning into Bobby’s nutritional and educational requirements. She is always researching new recipes for his target age and sending me links of new educational toys and accessories appropriate for his next stage of development. As well as her nannying duties, Liv has also been amazing with her household assistance – organising my sometimes chaotic house, washing, light cleaning duties, food shopping, dealing with tradespeople, etc. I admire Liv’s commitment to caring for the environment and minimising waste. (Employed over 2 periods - 2 newborns) 2020- 2022 Liv was the first babysitter with our daughter and she was absolutely wonderful with a caring and gentle manner, and sending regular updates. She was responsive to cues I wasn't even aware of, and was proactive with activities for the baby and going on walks in fresh air. I opened our fridge at the end of the first session, and was then surprised an immaculate fridge (it had never been cleaned so well before!) which I hadn't expected and didn't know when she'd even had time to do that. We now have a second baby, and I've felt comfortable leaving our 8 week old with her, while it would be difficult to leave him with anyone else. Liv is clearly a very experienced nanny who takes time to understand the nature and character of each child and responds accordingly. Somehow she manages to squeeze in some household management, which means you come back to a refreshed kitchen which takes a huge load off. She keeps you regularly updated with photos. Needless to add that Liv is reliable and trustworthy, but it's one of the immediate feelings you get as enters the house. I have been very grateful for the care she provides our children and feel that they are in very safe hands when I leave them, which I think can be no higher praise from a parent. Cannot rate her highly enough. She has been with Bobby and I since he was 8 weeks old (10 month period full time) and we would be lost without her. She is super organised, innovative, loving, honest, hard working. She is always thinking ahead to his next stage of development. My home has never been so organised!! I have 2 boys, aged 4 and 6, and Liv worked with me two days a week to get them to kinder and school respectively. Her resilience to the job was amazing – both my children have behavioural issues and yet Liv kept returning to help me. The little one can be particularly GRUMPY and Liv spent most of her time with him. Her calm demeanour was greatly appreciated. Liv would take the kids out adventuring locally and worked on winning them over. No mean feat! In addition, Liv was also my savour around the house. It was so lovely to have another “Mum” around to tidy up and notice things that needed doing, and just do them. She also spoke to me very gently about my growing collection of odd socks and suggested that I may need to let them go. It still makes me chuckle. Liv has juggled home schooling with our 6 year old whilst entertaining our 3 year old and meeting the food requirements of our 3 growing boys! She has also been a great help to me with laundry, cleaning and tidying and dinner preparation. Live shows great initiative and has tried to make the days more exciting such as organising Spider Man to run down our street, sourcing Tree House books or washing cars with the boys. Se’s just a great all-rounder. She is also very respectful about being in our home and is incredibly trustworthy. Liv shows good insight such as knowing when it is time for fresh air for the boys. My husband and I work as veterinarians, and run our own business, so we are very dependent on Liv’s assistance for our household to function efficiently. Liv is kind, thoughtful, honest, reliable, mature and an excellent communicator. She sets clear boundaries and routines, and is kind but firm with the children, which they respond very well to. When she started with us my youngest son was in kindergarten, and she was so wonderful with him, reading stories, building creations out of boxes and playing with him. Liv is highly organised, energetic and efficient and I’m always amazed at how much she achieves during a shift. Duties include picking up the boys from school, caring for them, laundry, food preparation, shopping and organising. In addition, Liv looks after our dog and maintains our house while we are away. Liv really goes above and beyond in her role, and I would find her very difficult to replace were she unable to continue with us. An example of this is when she had to take leave for several weeks. Before she left, she advertised and interviewed nannies for us and found an excellent short term nanny to replace her until she could return.
