Hello lovely Newcastle families. My name is Ella and I would love to get the chance to meet some new little friends around the area and help out in any way I can. A little about my experience! I have worked with children from the age of 13 when I began part time babysitting and nannying in school holidays. From here, I have worked in 3 Early years settings back home in England where I received my Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education. In 2022 began using my love and knowledge in childcare to travel, and I began my adventures whilst nannying and working for childcare centres in various countries around the world. My last contract was with a wonderful family in Canada, as a Aupair for just over a year. (Please feel free to request as a reference)! Although I really enjoyed my time and remain good friends with them, I am now looking for some new opportunities in and around Newcastle where I am planning on staying for the next few years. A little about me: I love being outdoors in nature so will try to get out as much as I can (of course taking the summer weather into consideration) so families who loves the outdoors as much as I do would be great. I love going for walks and trips to the park, and will encourage children to safely take risks and try new things. I prioritise child led activities, following a Montessori learning scheme to help support language and fine and gross motor skills. I am also very creative and love music and art, I love setting art activities and will always join in and support children with what’s been set. My years of experience working with children in the past has shaped me as a patient, and kind person and has given me a strong understanding in any age from 3 months - 11 years. I would love the chance to get to know some parents to talk about my suitability, as well as, what you guys are looking for from me. Please reach out with any questions or queries, I have a WWCC and a full first aid qualification. Furthermore, I have training in behavioural management, special educational needs and disability, and food hygiene.
My love for children started very early on, from the age of 13 I started part time babysitting, which gained popularity very quickly to which I also began as a part time nanny during school holidays. During this time, I worked mainly with ages 2.5 to 9 around my school and university timetable. I have also worked in a variety of Early years settings as an Educator where I took my level 3 qualification in childcare and Education. During my time as an Early Years Educator, I had the pleasure of working in all rooms ranging from 3 months to 5 years. Throughout my time in each room I have familiarised myself with the developmental milestones at each age and have developed a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges that children face. From this, I am confidently able to plan and execute activities suited to each child’s individual needs to develop their fine and gross motor skills, language, cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural needs. I worked alongside my team following the EYLF to ensure each child was learning and growing to their full potential. I would write observations on my key children and work closely with the parents to ensure they were kept up to date on all milestones and how they could further support their children at home. Following this, I also worked for a holiday company as a nanny where I planned and executed games and activities for children ranging from 3 months to 17 years. I would have a new set of children and age group each week giving me strong experience in all age groups. My last role, was as an Aupair in Canada, where I worked up to 13 hours a day with a little boy who just turned 3. Here I completed everyday early years duties such as feeding, nap times, changing nappies and sterilising bottles. As a nanny, I like to take on a very child led timetable following a Montessori like learning scheme to help children reach their full potential. I went to multiple parent child groups to help support his social development and executed a variety of different games and activities o Eli develop his fine and gross motor skills and language.
