Hi! I am originally from Ireland and moved to Sydney earlier this year. I am based in South Coogee. I am a qualified Occupational Therapist with 4 years experience working in hospitals in Scotland and a private clinic in Sydney with a wide variety of ages and populations, including children. I have completed yearly Moving and Handling and Basic Life Support Training as part of my role as an OT. Outside of work, I have also completed Water Safety and Life Guarding courses. I have lots of young cousins who I love spending time with and babysit on a regular basis when at home in Ireland. Looking for casual babysitting work - happy to babysit evenings and weekends. I also have my own car.

Special Needs Experience
Moving and Handling Training - on a yearly basis since 2018. Experience working with a wide variety of populations with various care needs as part of my role as an Occupational Therapist , including using equipment such as hoists, wheelchairs, hospital beds and various other standaids. Through my role as an OT, I also have experience working with individuals who are non verbal or have communication difficulties and feel confident in my abilities to engage with these individuals and adapt my communication style as needed.
Childcare Experience
I have 3.5 years experience working as an Occupational Therapist in Scotland and this has included working with children ages between 1 - 18. As an OT, I used my initiative and creativity to adapt therapy sessions to encouragement engagement from the children and feel I can use similar skills when babysitting to ensure the children feel comfortable and happy in my company. I have lots of young cousins who I babysit regularly when home in Ireland and love spending time with children. I have volunteered with Open Water swimming classes in Ireland and assisted to help young children to learn how to swim.
