Hi mums and dad, I grew up in a big family with three younger brothers and one younger sister, so I was fortunate enough to be in charge of taking care of them while they grow up. I do like be active and getting out of the house, exploring people interest and hobbies and trying new things out like I have for my siblings. I have been brought up to be humble, passionate, caring, hard working and a good listener. I look forward to the chance of taking care of your child, and supply help in any way I can.
I work for the NDIS and have done courses under the organisation that gave me basic skills and knowledge of how to help people of all ages with basic needs and requirements, like how to communicate properly, how to respond a first aid situation and who to contact, also how to make sure I’m professional in getting my job done whilst at the same time having that personal approach with the person I’m taking care of. For instance I had a client for a long time that had global development delay and I had to adjust my ways to how I communicate with her, insuring that I be clear and precise in what I’m telling her. I would have to make sure that she felt comfortable and safe in public, so I ensured I communicate with the parents all the time as well to discuss ways that they found made there daughter feel more comfortable, like putting headphones on with music when in busy areas. Though as she grew up I had to transition my ways of taking care of her to making her becoming more independent in performing task and showing that support when needed.
- I’ve been looking after my siblings for all my life - I’ve taking care of other peoples kids for the last 2 to 3 years - I really do enjoy taking care of kids because it is rewarding taking care of them and helping out in daily life activities, and seeing them mature
