Hello, I am a caring 22yr old nanny based in Mapleton with 10yrs of babysitting and nannying experience. I specialise in newborns and babies and I would love to stay long term and grow with one family. I have experience with all ages from 3 days old, twins, and children with various disabilities. I am very patient and enjoy taking the time to learn about each individual and how I can best meet their needs and goals. I am comfortable working with a diverse range of people, including LGBTQ+, religious beliefs and cultural backgrounds. I have a current WWCC (Blue Card), First Aid Certificate, National Police Check, Driver’s license and own car, ABN and more. I like to use aware and gentle parenting styles. Be child led, creative and play in nature. I am inspired by Steiner and Montessori philosophies. I am looking for casual babysitting to supplement my current jobs as a part-time nanny, independent support worker and aged care worker. I enjoy spending my free time with my animals (cat, dogs, pigs & horses), going for bush walks, sailing, training my horses (so that I can open my own equine therapy business in the future), reading, crochet and other crafts. Special Needs Experience
I have worked as a sailing instructor for almost three years teaching people of all ages with various disabilities how to sail on the Noosa River. I have supported family members with ADHD, PTSD, ASD, hEDS and hearing loss. I am currently learning Auslan. I have ADHD, undiagnosed ASD and hEDS and have recently recovered from a TBI.
Childcare Experience
Since 2014 I have worked as a casual babysitter for many families in the Sunshine Coast area. My duties have included full care for up to three children, basic household tasks, preparing simple meals, planning and creating developmentally appropriate activities that align with the family’s values and interests, keeping children safe while exploring outside, assisting with bathing and personal care, taking the children on outings to the beach/pool, playgroups, local attractions etc. and overall showering the children with love, care and support. May 2018 – December 2020 - Sailing instructor teaching children and people of all ages with various disabilities how to sail safely on the Noosa River March 2021 – March 2022 - Full-time nanny for a baby from 3 days old March 2022 – December 2023 – Nanny three days a week caring for 4-month-old twins and a 2-year-old For 6 months I was absent from work following a fall from my horse in December 2023. Since July 2024 I have been working one day a week as an independent support worker and casually as an aged care support worker. I have recently started working one day a week as a nanny for a 16-month-old and a 4-year-old.
