Hi, my name is Megan O’ Connor and I am a 27 year old Irish Registered nurse and I moved to Sydney in May. I’m based in Kingsford and have a full NSW drivers license. I’ve been driving for 8 years and am used to driving on the left! I’m the eldest of all my cousins so I grew up around children which has lead me to really enjoying babysitting, assisting with homework or any other evening activities. I also enjoy cooking, baking and crafts. For the last few years I’ve worked as a registered nurse in both an acute hospital for adults and children, and a paediatric hospital with children with additional needs requiring close supervision. Prior to this I worked in a GPs doing childhood immunisations and women’s health. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you’d like to meet to see if we would be a good fit. Special Needs Experience
I’ve worked with children who require assistance with their mobility; activities of daily living, NG and PEG feeds, seizure management, behavioural issues etc through my work as a nurse. If you’ve any questions or concerns, please just let me know.
Childcare Experience
I’ve looked after children on an off since my teens (10 years). I love getting to know a child and understanding what beings them joy and comfort. I enjoy assisting with homework or engaging with activities. I’m very easy going but cautious where necessary
