Hi mums and dads, I really enjoy working with children and seeing them grow and learn in life. I have looked after my younger cousin many times and in 2017 I got my certificate 2 in Child Studies, where I had to undergo a 50 hour placement at a child care. I am currently going into my 3rd year of the Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) degree at the University of South Australia. In the future I am interested in working with children as a clinical psychologist, and would therefore love to gain more experience. I have been doing administration for my mums psychology business (Becoming You Psychology) for 2 and a half years and I am extremely organised. In November 2021 I started as an assistant swimming instructor where I mainly worked with children with disabilities. Due to the school holiday break and COVID, I haven’t been able to work much but have still gained valuable experience. I also clean for a family, and therefore, know how to keep things tidy and in order. I have my First Aid and CPR certificate, my WWCC, my RAN and have just done my police clearance and am currently waiting to receive it back (hopefully by the time you contact me it’ll be done).
In 2017 I completed a 50 hour placement at a child care where I worked with children from the ages of 18months to 3 years old. I often used to take care of my little cousin who is 6 years younger than me. Through assisting swimming instructors I have also gained experience working with primary school aged children, mostly those with disabilities. I love working with children and seeing how they experience the world. Watching children learn in unique ways and have fun is something that I am grateful to have experienced, and I really hope I get to experience this a lot more in my life.
