Hi mums and dads, my name is Ana, and I’m originally from Portugal, though I lived in England for a few years before moving to Sydney two years ago. I’m now in my third year of studying for my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Working with children runs in my family, my grandmother was a preschool teacher, and my mum owned and managed her own early childhood centre in Portugal. Growing up, I spent a lot of time learning from them, which inspired my own passion for working with kids. I began working with children at 16 and also gained experience in hospitality supervision and management, where I developed skills like organisation, problem-solving, and leadership that are incredibly helpful in my work today. I currently work in an early childhood centre, hold a First Aid certificate, and am also a qualified swim teacher. I’m a bubbly, down-to-earth person who loves life’s simple joys and focuses on being present in the moment. I’m determined, a quick learner, and highly organised, with a knack for solving problems efficiently. I believe working as a nanny in this amazing city would be a perfect fit for me, as I truly enjoy building strong connections with children and providing them with the best care and support possible.
I started working with children since I was 16 and did supervising and management in hospitality as well for a few years where I learned valuable lessons that nowadays helps my job incredibly. My most recent job was in England before I moved, I was working in Busy Bees nursery, with toddlers mostly due loving this age group, where we can see their personality finally coming through so much and loving a good challenge with our lovely toddler temperaments ahah, but I was working everyday with children from 1year to 5 years old and do find all age groups lovely to work with. I believe the best rewarding part of working in childcare is when I see my children succeed and break through their obstacles, and their accomplishment always reflect my job too. I am also First Aid trained.
