Hi! My name is Steph. I am a Diploma qualified early childhood professional, in my final year of my Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching at Macquarie University. I am a bubbly and outgoing individual and have worked as an early stage educator for over 6 years, working with ages from birth to 12. I pride myself on my holistic philosophy, in which I see all children as capable and autonomous learners. A significant influence of my philosophy includes Reggio Emilia’s approach which highlights that children are competent, curious individuals who learn best through exploration and meaningful experiences. Wherefore, I strive to embrace children’s individual learning through co-constructionist relationships where children can extend their interests through enjoyable hands-on play. I have a great interest in early years development, outdoor environments and learning through exploring nature! As well as this, I love creative arts, gardening, music, sensory play, cooking and music.
Specialised education in inclusion support, supporting children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, ADD, OCD
I have been in the Early Childhood industry for over 5 years, as a student primary teacher, swim teacher, before and after school educator, long day care room leader and preschool teacher. I am Diploma qualified and in my 4th year of my Early Childhood Teaching Bachelors Degree.
