Hi Mum’s and Dad’s! I am an 18 year old TAFE student who is currently studying nursing and just graduated high school last year! I also currently work as a manager at West Ryde McDonald’s! I live with a single mum and my younger brother who I’ve had to look after from a very young age so that my mum was able to juggle studying and working as well as taking care of us whilst we were growing up. Due to this, I feel I am very capable with taking care of children and also helping with homework or tutoring as my younger brother is currently in year 11 and I tutor him for advanced english! Childcare Experience
I’m only 18, but ever since from the age of 7 I have been taking care of not only myself and my younger brother after school as my single mum would either be at work or studying towards further qualifications for work. Therefore, my childcare abilities came somewhat naturally for me as the eldest child. Still to this day, I pick up and drop off my brother and help him with his homework and even tutor him for his year 11 advanced english class! I feel as if I am very flexible with children as well, so no matter what age they are I am very willing to work for and create a bond with them!
Tutoring Experience
Although I do not have professional qualifications towards tutoring, I currently tutor my younger brother for his year 11 advanced english class! I also did advanced english for year 11 and 12 in the HSC and received a band 5! I have been helping my brother with his english since he was in kindergarten, as he has always struggled with his marks. So I feel as if I am capable in teaching all primary school level english and helping with homework ect. Which is what I currently do with my younger brother.
