Hi everyone, I am a fully qualified primary school teacher from Ireland and I am looking for work as a nanny/tutor/helper as I settle into the Australian lifestyle. I have experience in a mainstream classroom, as a support teacher and I also worked closely with children with autism during the summer months at home in Ireland. I looked after a girl aged 8 as seen in my profile picture and her two brothers aged 5 and 10 months during the week when their parents were at work during school term and school holidays. I come from a family of 7 so I’m used to being in a busy household. I love the outdoors and playing sports as well as music and arts and crafts. Special Needs Experience
I worked in a special class in a school on a casual basis and I also worked as a leader of a summer camp for children with autism two years in a row. During my time in university I completed my specialism is special and inclusive education.
Childcare Experience
I’ve worked as a primary school teacher as a casual for almost three years now and I have worked as a full time teacher for one year once graduated from university. In my school I ran an after school club to allow parents more time to collect their children from school. Here the children were enable to complete their homework and play in a safe and protected environment. I also looked after a local family while I was at university. This was a family of 4 children aged 3, 5, 7 and 10. I looked after this family during school breaks and before and after school during term time. I also tutored a 11 year old girl with various aspects of her school work before moving to Australia.
Tutoring Experience
I tutored an 11 year old girl for approximately one year before I moved to Australia. I also worked as a casual primary school teacher throughout university. I graduated in 2023 and I then taught the equivalent of year 3 for a full academic year before moving to Australia. I plan to teach here on a casual basis as soon as schools reopen. I also have experience working in a classroom for children with autism.
