Hellooo families of Coogee and the Eastern Suburbs!!!! My name is Olivia, and I am a primary school teacher! Currently I teach sport a few days a week as well as pick up extra casual teaching days, but I would love to help your family out and spend time tutoring or taking care of your beautiful children!! I have nannied a bit here in Australia, and have been babysitting and nannying back in Texas since I was a teenager! I bring energy, creativity, and kindness, and I will treat your children and family with the utmost respect. I am happy to refer you to any of my past families for a reference! I was a math teacher back in the states, and will happily work through math homework with any struggling learners and clear up or reteach any misconceptions and fill in any learning gaps. Childcare Experience
I have been working with children since I was old enough to babysit!! I have always wanted to be a teacher, and was able to make that dream come true! Over school holidays back in Texas, I ran summer camps (camp Olivia!) for neighborhood kids, and have periodically watched neighborhood families as needed. My favorite thing about my job is watching kids navigate the world around them and develop into competent problem solvers. I have vast experience in child development as I studied it at university and have taught and taken care of many different age groups. I will encourage, nurture, and support your children to be their best selves, and we will have tons of fun doing it!!!
Tutoring Experience
I have 4 years of Kindergarten, 1 year of Year 3 (including being a year coordinator,) and am currently a casual and sport teacher here in Australia. I tutored elementary (primary school) students all through university, and have tutored students after school since I started teaching. I have vast experience working one-on-one with children in an academic setting, as I pull targeted small groups as a teacher. I specialize in math intervention, particularly in upper primary, and reading intervention in lower primary.
