Hi there families! I am a primary school teacher of 6 years, and Assistant Principal of 4 years, with extensive previous experience as the educational leader and early childhood teacher of a large early learning centre for children aged 0-6 years. I am passionate about working with children and am highly driven to achieve the best possible social, emotional and academic outcomes for children. I support children in learning to read and reading to learn, using evidence based practice such as systematic phonics and principles of the science of reading. I can support students from k-10 in all academic areas and have formal training and wide experience in supporting students with additional needs including autism spectrum disorder, ODD, PDA and ADHD. I hold a current Working With Children Check, asthma/anaphylaxis/first aid training and drivers licence. I am available for babysitting and tutoring on weekends, most evenings and school holidays. I am an accredited Primary School teacher who has worked across all stages of primary schooling, currently working in K-2. I have tutored students ranging from 5-12 years of age. As a current teacher my knowledge of the school curriculum and demands of schooling is extensive. I teach using evidence-based, best-practice approaches such as systematic phonics and science of reading principles. I lead curriculum and teaching in learning in my school as the K-2 assistant principal and am well versed in all current curriculum expectations.
