I have loved working with children and all the way back to Year 10 when I was completing high school and we started getting exposed to possible career paths. I had done work placement at a kindy and knew then that I belonged and thrived. I pursued a career in the Early Childhood Field, completing my Diploma in Children's Services, and have been a Lead Teacher for the past 13 years. I love being able to teach, including life skills, but also learn and constantly get reminded of what's truly important in life by the children and families I have worked alongside. I am a very clean and organised person and feel this has also helped me to stay focused. I would describe myself as a mixed personality; it depends on what others are needing around me. I can be enthusiastic and happy but also grounded and slow-paced. I have worked in 3 Early Childhood Centres in my time, all at a long-term capacity, and have worked with all age groups from 6 weeks to school age. I have been a cook and a Second in Charge Director. Prior to this, I worked at McDonald's for 7 years as a crew member, crew trainer, and manager. I love to spend time with my own 2 children who are school age, take our dogs for walks, and spend time with friends and family. I also like to look into new activities to engage in. A fun fact about me... put on music and I won't stop dancing.
