Hi there! My name is Olivia, and I'm a dedicated and caring babysitter with a passion for supporting children's growth and development. As a mother of two young children, I understand the house and challenges of raising little ones and bring that hands on experience to my babysitting and nannying services. I am currently working towards and Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care and gaining valuable experience as a part time educator in a community long day care centre. My experience primarily involves working with children under five, but I am more than happy to care for children of all ages. I love engaging children in fun and educational activities like arts and crafts, outdoor play, storytime, and sensory games. Whether it's exploring the outdoors, fostering creativity, or diving into a great book together, I aim to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that helps children thrive. Outside of my work with children, I enjoy reading, staying active, and spending time with animals. I'm a big animal lover! Your child's safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), police clearance, First Aid (including children's first aid), and CPR certifications. I've also completed the Department of Education and Educators SA Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN), ensuring I'm fully equipped to provide a safe and supportive environment. Childcare Experience
My journey in childcare began when I was 16, babysitting for family friends. Since then, I've gained extensive experience through raising my own two children and babysitting for my mum friends over the years. These experiences laid a strong foundation for my understanding of children's needs and development. I currently work part time in a long day care centre, where I have gained valuable hands on experience in supporting children's development and providing attentive care. While I'm most comfortable caring for children aged two and under, I have also worked with children up to five years old and find thisw ages just as rewarding. Although I'm less experienced with school aged children, I'm eager to learn and adapt to meet their needs as well. What I find most rewarding about working with children is witnessing their growth and development. Watching them evolve into little individuals with unique opinions and personalities - future contributors to our society - is both exciting and fascinating. I take pride in creating a calm and nurturing environment where children feel safe to express themselves, explore the world around them, and thrive.
